#SQUADGOALS: The Ladies Behind the Nail Stamping Sisterhood Collaborative Plate

Posted by Kara Crail

Sneak Peek behind Nail Stamping Sisterhood

What do skulls, tie-dye, and farting dogs have in common? Did you guess nail stamping? If you did, you’re absolutely correct! All of these designs (and more) represent our fun and funky friends of the Nail Stamping Sisterhood (NSS). This Monday, we’re dropping our newest Maniology collaboration with the NSS, and we know you’re gonna love it! We had a chat with Viviana, founder and manager of the NSS Facebook group, to hear more about her squad of amazing gals. Listen in on the convo:

Maniology: What is The Nail Stamping Sisterhood and when was it established?

Viviana: Nail Stamping Sisterhood (NSS) is an all-women’s group [that was] established on Facebook on September 19, 2015.

Maniology: Who was the mastermind behind the group and what was the idea that started it all?

Viviana: I had a vision that women from all over the world, regardless of their background and religious beliefs, can come together and build a community that focuses solely on nail stamping and nail art. We focus on maintaining a trusting environment where we can empower one another through discussions and sharing our creativity, knowledge and passion for nail art stamping. There are all levels of experience within the group and we all show support and encourage each other.

Maniology: How many members are a part of NSS (Nail Stamping Sisterhood)? Where can community members find your group to join in on the fun and creative conversations?

Viviana: NSS currently has 8,364 members with daily requests to join. [Visit NSS at]: https://www.facebook.com/groups/NailStampingSisterhood/

Maniology: Nail Stamping Sisterhood members: why nail stamping? Why was nail stamping THE creative outlet for you?

Melanie: “I find stamping great for getting a creative art look with little difficulties. The possibilities are endless!”

Jillian: I love stamping plates because the plates themselves are art. It’s like walking up to a painting and each person sees their own meaning and interpretation of the painting…”

Jaqui: Nail art is my creative outlet. With having severe Rheumatoid Arthritis, the small canvases of my nails are the perfect size to minimize my pain for self-expression.”

Anna: “I love that it makes ordinary polish look like a professional manicure, but it’s so easy to do yourself!”

Maniology:  Now that your team of collaborators have created this plate, are there designs you'd still like to see on a plate?

Viviana: Once we (the group) knew that making a collaboration custom plate was possible, we created a thread and submitted many images to each other. These images were the most popular in the group and we couldn’t be more happier with the outcome!

Every nail is a tiny canvas that expresses your passions, feelings, and creativity for the whole world to see. It’s no wonder that the Nail Stamping Sisterhood is so passionate about what they do! Sometimes the stars align, and this is totally one of those times. We absolutely love the Nail Stamping Sisterhood vision. It shows the amazing strength and support of women all over the world even within our own stamping communities. We can hardly wait until Monday, August 27th for you to see this awesome plate. It’s diverse. It’s quirky. It’s totally us! To join the Nail Stamping Sisterhood, click here!

  • If painting nails and nail art is a way of life, stamping plates are the key. Before stamping plates existed, nail art felt more like a chore to me and less like a hobby. Now that I am able to add unique and creative styles to my nails so effortlessly, nail art has become my meditative practice, all thanks to stamping plates and Maniology!

  • I love nail stamping because it’s something that looks like it takes time and a creative person to achieve but with a nail plate ANY person can design something beautiful and express themselves!!
