Dazzling Powders

Nail art powders have been taking the nail art industry by storm, with cool and dazzling creations popping up even on our favourite celebs. Whether you’re using duochrome, holographic, flakies, color shifting or mirror powders, the shimmery way they captivate and bounce light off of the surface of your nails makes them everything a nail fanatic could hope for. Best of all, they’re simple to apply! All you need is to prep your nails and give them a good buffing before applying your base coat and a stamping polish of your choice. Then apply a regular non-water-based topcoat and let it dry only partially. Wait 45-60 seconds for the polish to become semi-dry. This step is key because applying the powder too soon or not soon enough can prevent it from sticking properly, and it can also create a mess. Your topcoat should be almost rubbery without feeling sticky when you go to apply the powder. Next, dab or tap the nail art powder onto your nail using the included sponge applicator. Gently rub the powder into the nail for a sleek, shiny finish. Finally, wipe away any excess, and seal in your nail art with a top coat. We recommend sealing it in with our Smudge-Free Top Coat to make it last even longer. As always, let them dry thoroughly before moving onto the other hand. Alternatively, you can stamp your powders onto your nails for even faster applications. To use this stamper method, gently rub the nail art powder on to a stamper. Wait until your base color is completely dry. Apply Sticky Base Coat, wait until it's dry to the touch (around a minute or two). Stamp the powder on your nail, dust off any extra on your skin, then seal with our Smudge Free Top Coat.

Gorgeous Glitters

Glitters, flakies, and tinsels are a fun way to add some exciting texture and color to your nails, and they don’t require much effort to apply either. Once your nails are cleaned, trimmed and shaped as you like, apply your base coat and color evenly, doubling up on the nails that you want to add glitter to. Apply base polish and allow it to dry to a tacky finish. (A good way to test tackiness is to lightly press your finger onto the polish. It should leave a little indent or fingerprint on the polish). Next, dip a finger or a sponge into your glitter container and lightly tap or dab the product onto your nail. Repeat step until the desired look is achieved. To finish, apply two coats of top coat to seal it all in and make them last as long as possible.

Fantastic Foils

Similar to powders, foils are a great way to add some shine to your manicure, and they don’t have to be frustrating to use. To use, you'll need to use some of our special Nail Foil Glue adhesive. First, prep your nail foil sheet by cutting nail sized blocks with scissors. Next, apply a base coat to your nails and let it dry completely. When your base coat or base color is dry, apply a thin coat of nail foil adhesive to the nail and allow it to dry until the adhesive turns from white to clear and is tacky to the touch. Take one pre-cut foil piece and apply the foil design side facing upward and away from the nail. (The grayish matte side should be toward the surface of your nails.) Firmly rub the foil design to the nail and pull away to let the foil design stick. Tip: An orange stick can help to rub foil into hard to reach areas. Repeat steps 3-4 until your desired look is created.
