Interesting effect polish
I bought this knowing it would be essentially transparent when viewed straight on and that is true. It is sheer and the effect subtle. It surprised me how much the color shifts over black at different angles however. At an angle, it VERY subtly shifts to an icy blue when stamped on white. Over black, the color is more pronounced when viewed at an angle and shifts from dark to icy -almost metallic- blue. It's hard to capture in pics. I'd use this as a topper or stamp stripes or dots or something without a lot of detail to add interest to a plain nail.

Good in Theory, Not so Good in Application…
I got this polish because it looked SO cute and I liked how it showed up clearly on dark colors. However, when I received it and tried to use it on dark colors it didn’t show up at all. The only way I even knew it stamped was because I could see it when I held my nail in the light and looked at just the right angle. Honestly, I felt like this polish was seriously misrepresented in the listing. Unless the bottle I received was a fluke, the only way they could’ve gotten the sample photo was with dozens of layers perfectly placed on top of each other. That being said, I was able to return the polish and get a replacement that I think will work nicely. The only concern I have after this experience is that I now question whether the sample photos are accurate or not. It’s not like I’m gonna stop buying from Maniology though, and I have no hard feelings. I suppose, going forward, it’s just something to consider when selecting polishes.

This Color is a Game Changer
I love the way the Retrograde over Honu and got a beautiful color!

Gorgeous blue but.....
I adore this color, its absolutely beautiful. The only problem is that it is very, very light. It does not show up on any color but black, I even tried layering to no avail. It does work as a base polish pretty well though. You need at least 4 coats, just make them thin and even and it will turn out gorgeous. I had to find a way to use this gorgeous shade!

Gorgeous iridescent blue
Beautiful transparent polish with gorgeous iridescent icy blue.
