It’s Wednesday. Congrats! You’ve made it halfway through the week. You woke up. You put clothes on. You dragged yourself to work. That deserves a moment of celebration in itself, but as we groove through our last week of Women’s Month, we’d like to hold our glasses extra high to all the amazing ladies who have our backs. Break out the bendy straws and red cups!

We need more wine

Here are 3 midweek mixers to help you deal with the B.S. and shake up the monotony of everyday life:

Strawberry & Lemon Wine Spritzer

This simple and refreshing drink is light enough for multiple rounds and won’t ruin the gains you’ve just put in at the gym. If you’re looking for a drink that’s not-too-sweet and easy on the calorie count, this wine spritzer could be the exact thing you need.

BMC Strawberry Wine Spritzer

Ingredients:

1 slice of lemon

2 mint leaves

2 strawberries

½ tsp honey

5 oz white wine (I used a cheap sauvignon blanc)

Chilled lemon flavored sparkling water (I used La Croix)

Muddle 1 strawberry, 2 mint leaves, ½ tsp of honey, and a squeeze of lemon juice at the bottom of your glass. Pour 5 oz of white wine over the fruit and honey concoction, and fill your glass the rest of the way with lemon flavored sparkling water. Garnish with a strawberry slice or lemon wedge.

Mocktail Mango Mule

from Danielle Walker of Against All Grain

Who doesn’t love a good moscow mule? Nobody, that’s who! But, sometimes, you just can’t afford to turn up on a Wednesday. That’s why we were stoked to find a creative and delicious take on the classic. Break out your copper mugs and take (and retake) a few boomerangs of your weeknight cheers.

Ingredients:

4-5 Slices of Cucumber

1 oz Honey

1.5 oz Mango Puree

1.5 oz Lime Juice

1.5 oz Ginger Beer

Ice

Muddle cucumber and honey at the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add mango puree and lime juice. Shake, covered, with ice vigorously for 10 seconds. Strain into your favorite copper mug and top with ginger beer.

“Alch-y” Palmer

Feelin’ lazy? Same here. This 2-ingredient mixer is just one step above drinking booze straight from the bottle, but hey—we know how to be a little fancy when we feel like it. (Sometimes, we eat Hot Pockets with real silverware!) This “alchy” palmer is delicious, cheap, and so freakin’ easy. If you can muster up the energy to lift your arm high enough to tip a bottle into a glass, you can make this. Feelin’ bougie? Garnish your glass with some fruit and a bendy straw for some weeknight vacay vibes.

Iced tea on the beach

Ingredients:

1 part Sweet Tea Vodka

1 part lemonade

Optional Garnish:

lemon slices, raspberries, strawberries, or any other fruit you have on hand.

Open the bottle. Pour sweet tea flavored vodka in it until the glass if half full (or half empty… it’s wednesday). Fill the rest of the glass with lemonade. Garnish with fruits for fancy points. Chillax.
