Meet Minnie - the Artist Behind Nailbees Collaborative Plate

What's cuter than whales, cinnamon buns, lambs, or puppy paws? Nothing that we can think of! That's just a few of the absolutely adorable designs that Minnie thought up when she started designing her collaboration plate.  

We love seeing what designs our collaborators come up with, but we also love learning what inspires their art. Check out our interview with Minnie below:

Maniology:  While creating your first collaborative nail plate, what inspired you to come up with the designs?

Minnie:  I always wanted a plate filled with animals that are cute, fun and a little bit cheeky. This stamping plate is absolutely my dream come true and I hope these animals can bring smiles to everyone when they look at their nails.

Maniology:  What did you feel was missing in nail art that you created your plate?

Minnie: I do a lot of free-hand painting nail art and I often find it hard to create a detailed and neat design. This plate will allow me to achieve that and it'll also save me hours not having to hand paint them.

Maniology:  Creative expression - do you have any other creative hobbies outside of nail art?

Minnie:  I love drawing fantasy characters in my free time.

Maniology:  What is a nail art design that you keep going back to?

Minnie:  Dark and elegant, such as a sheer black and black lace combo - Halloween is my favorite time of the year!

1. What’s your favorite movie?  Guardians of the Galaxy.

2. What book are you reading? Oh boy, I haven't read any books for a year! Any recommendations??

3. What show are you watching?  Mainly stand up comedy on Netflix.

5.  Twitter or Instagram?  IG has more hamster accounts, so IG it is!

6.  Who’s an Instagrammer that EVERYONE should be following right now?@getbuffednails and @home_of_deva where my inspiration comes from.

7.  What do you love on your pizza?  Vegan cheese! OMG trust me it actually tastes better than the real thing!

8.  Favorite drink?  Virgin Pina Colada

9.  Favorite dessert?  Tiramisu ♡

10.  Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?  DARK

11.  Coffee or tea?  Both

12.  What’s your favorite band?  EXO, BLACKPINK (K-pop)

13.  Favorite solo artist?  Ariana Grande

14.  Favorite song?  CROOKED by G-DRAGON

15.  If you could sing a duet with anyone, who would it be?  Aladdin, just so that I can ride the carpet.

16.  Do you have a tattoo?  No

17.  Dogs or cats?  All of them.

18.  Best gift you’ve ever received?  Good health.

19.  What’s your favorite board game?  Game of Life and Connect Four were my childhood favorites.

20.  What’s your favorite country to visit?  Australia, Netherlands and my home in Japan.
