Celebrate the Strange: Halloween Q&A with Glitterfingersss
Glitterfingersss Collab Q&A
What inspired you to create the designs on this plate?
I'm always full of ideas around Halloween, so it wasn't hard to come up with easy to use, easy to combine patterns. I find patterns about eyes, animals and bones creepy, so I designed the plate around that.
Which design are you most proud of?
I really like how the tentacle design turned out, also I just love my little collared bat.
Feel free to give us more details about your plate and the design process…
I really enjoyed drawing out the patterns. How the shapeless doodles turned into a detailed drawing in the end. I think this plate represents my personal style quite well. I like detailed, realistic shapes, but with a "funny", dorky twist.
Halloween Questions – Just for Fun!
Halloween or Christmas?
From the nail art aspect, it's definitely Halloween (I have about zero ideas for Christmas nails), but in real life we don't really celebrate Halloween here in Hungary, so as an actual holiday, I will choose Christmas.
What is your favorite thing about Halloween?
I can be creepy without raising suspicions :D
Are you planning a Halloween costume this year? If so, what will you be?
No, we don't really celebrate Halloween here in Hungary, but if there would be a Halloween party, I would do some kind of creepy FX makeup on my face.
Do you believe in ghosts?
I think I'm a pretty reasonable and science driven person, but exactly because of this I can never be sure, until I see one.
Do you believe in aliens?
Sure! We can't be the only living things in the universe...
Freddy or Jason?
Freddy for sure, he's actually creepy! The movie feels much more realistic, and therefore it's much scarier for me.
Vampires or werewolves?
I like them both, but vampires have definitely gone soft since all of these teen drama series and movies, so I might go with werewolves now.
Chocolate or gummies?
Chocolate, but with at least 70% cocoa content. Yes, I'm one of those LOL
Time Travel or Teleportation?
Teleportation. I'm not really interested in traveling to the past or future, but rather just go anywhere I wan't in the present. And I really want to be at a beach right now!
Are you a fan of pumpkin spice?
Yes!
What’s your favorite movie for Halloween?
I don't usually rewatch movies, and don't have favorites, or I just have too many to name only one. However, I do want to leave some recommendations of a wide variety here: The Platform, Kingdom (series), The House That Jack Built, Extra Ordinary.
What is the scariest movie you’ve ever seen?
Nothing really scares me now. The scariest movie experiences came from back when I was young, but I feel like most things were scary back then, right? I remember going to sleep scared after a random X-Files episode...
Which Hogwarts house are you in?
I don't know. I read and watched all of the Harry Potter stories, but I was never a hardcore fan, so I never really thought about this question.
If there were a zombie apocalypse, what would be your weapon of choice?
A katana. Wouldn't choose anything noisy like a gun, but instead a super sharp, light sword that is long enough to keep my distance. (Clearly I thought this through a long time ago LOL)
Would you sleep in a haunted house for $100/night? If so, how many nights?
I would spend a night there, but I think I would remain forever skeptic if it was a real haunted house or just a scam.
Have you ever had a paranormal experience? If so, what happened?
No. I would freak out if something like that happened in my home, but I wouldn't mind experiencing it one day, far, far away from my residence.
